> authoritative government sources: the Australian Business Register (ABR),
> the ASIC Business Names Register, and state trade licensing registers
> (currently the QBCC Licensed Contractors Register for Queensland).

## What this site is

VerifiedBiz publishes structured, provenance-stamped profiles of Australian
businesses, focused on licensed trades (electricians, plumbers, builders).
Each listing page shows the business's ABN, register status, trading names,
trade licences where held, and the date each fact was last verified against
its source register. Listing URLs are permanent (the ABN is embedded in the
slug) and every page carries schema.org JSON-LD (LocalBusiness subtypes,
identifier = ABN, licences via hasCredential).
