Most business directories are stale scrapes of each other. When you — or an AI assistant answering for you — search for a licensed electrician, the result is too often a business that moved, closed, or never held the licence it advertises.

VerifiedBiz takes a different approach: we build from authoritative government sources — the Australian Business Register, the ASIC Business Names Register, and state trade licensing registers — and we show our work. Every fact on a listing carries the source it came from and the date it was last checked. Listings that don't meet our quality bar simply aren't published.

The directory is free: free to search, free to claim, free to verify. We started with licensed trades — electricians, plumbers and builders — because that's where verified data matters most, and we're expanding from there.
